“I am the Professional Photographer at Shane Falgout Photography in Abbeville, Louisiana.  I have dedicated my life to photography for 13 years.  I attended USL in Photography and the Texas School of Photography.  I currently live in Lafayette with my wife and have three beautiful children.  I love to capture very special details of couples on their Wedding Day.  I sincerely want every Bride to be completely captured in her moment.  She deserves to feel like a princess.”

One of the packages at The Caldwell is a bridal photo shoot prior to the wedding date.  Bridal dressing takes place in the bridal dressing room and the photographer can be as creative as he or she pleases, with so many picturesque locations inside The Caldwell, on the porches, as well as in the East and West gardens.  This photo, taken by Shane, was taken in The Caldwell Bridal Suite in front of the beautiful full length mirror which displays the beauty of the bride and her wedding dress.

“Photography is a passion of mine.  I love to capture the unforgettable moments of a wedding, the many expressions of a child, and the stepping stones of a high school senior.”

Michelle E. Fuselier is a Certified Professional Photographer and a member of various photography organizations, including Professional Photographers of America, Professional Photographers of Louisiana and the local Acadiana Photographers Guild in which she currently holds the position of Vice President.  She has attended various photography conventions throughout the years, participating in various classes to further hone her 10 years of photography experience, and submitting photos for competition, several of which have placed.  Ms. Fuselier recently studied under Kelley Ryden and Tracy Raver in Nebraska to hone her skills in newborn baby portraits.  Ms. Fuselier specializes in weddings and portrait photography.

It is a tradition at The Caldwell to give the bride and groom a private meal upstairs, immediately following the ceremony.  The couple has not seen each other all day, they see each other at the wedding ceremony but do not have the opportunity to speak much to each other.  Once the reception begins, they are pulled in all directions and rarely even get time to eat.  The Caldwell sets aside this special time for them when they can privately share a few minutes with each other after one of the most special times in their lives.  This picture was taken when the bride and groom descended the stairs after their private meal where they were welcomed by anxiously awaiting guests.

The East Garden is commonly used as the ceremony site.  It features a bricked area surrounded by ivy-covered latticework and a tropical garden.  Along the backside of the ceremony area is a stone-walled pond with fountain.  That area is the site of this picture.  Unlike the formality of the wedding ceremony, the photographer posed the bride in a casual, playful manner in this same area, on the stone wall of the pond.
