Christmas Abbeville Style…..

Join us again this year as we welcome in the 2010 Holiday Season.  Enjoy the magic and fantasy of the white lights illuminating our beautiful downtown.  The Christmas Stroll has been held since 1999 and has been hugely successful in attracting people to the downtown area.

The Stroll has become a tradition in downtown Abbeville.  It can make preparing for the holidays a breeze for shoppers, with gifts to choose for everyone, gift cards to area restaurants, along with all elements for stylishly decorating your home or the Christmas Tree.

Refreshments are served  and entertainment is also provided at each stop.

Stroll Cards will be handed out for shoppers to get stamped when they visit each location.  When the Stroll Card is completed, it is dropped into a box located in Magdalen Square for a chance to win the Gift Basket Give-Away.

Caldwell Breakfast Casserole

NOTE:  We make individual casseroles in Jumbo muffin cups.  Serves 8.   These can be prepared ahead of time and refrigerated or frozen until needed.

1 lb. Pork sausage

Can of refrigerated crescent dinner rolls

Shredded cheese (We use several types)

7 eggs, beaten

¾ cup milk

¼ tsp. salt

¼ tsp. pepper

Tony Chachere Cajun Seasoning (if desired)

Mushrooms cooked in butter (if desired)

Pam Cooking Spray

————-

Preheat oven to 325 degrees.

Crumble and cook sausage in skillet until brown.  Drain.

Spray muffin cups very well with Pam.

Break apart triangles of crescent dinner rolls, roll into ball, press flat to cover bottom of muffin.

Add cooked sausage (divide between 8 cups).

Add cheeses

Mix 7 beaten eggs, milk, salt, pepper, Tony’s.

Pour into muffin cups over meat and cheeses (they will be full to the top).

Bake about 40 minutes or until tops are brown.  Be sure eggs are cooked in the center.

It is good to line the bottom of the oven with foil or baking pans because it often overflows.

These can be frozen after they cool off.  Let thaw before heating.

To prepare for breakfast, line baking pan with aluminum foil, spray thoroughly with Pam.  Spray another sheet of aluminum foil and cover the tightly.  Heat in 350 degree oven for 25-30 minutes.

(Microwaving the casseroles is not as good because the egg and dinner rolls become a little chewy.)

Enjoy!

Engagement Party

Extraordinary Event at The Caldwell
Trip Advisor Review Report

5 of 5 stars

The Caldwell is a beautiful B&B but also an extraordinary venue for an event. My husband and I hosted an Engagement Party for some friends and we, along with the couple, live out of town. We held the party there b/c we are originally from the area and most of the guests attending still reside there. Our goal was to have a wonderful party at a beautiful venue with no stress and we definitely got it! Mae and the staff at The Caldwell were excellent and our expectations of the event were surpassed. I would highly recommend The Caldwell for any event and plan to use them in the future, if the need should arise. If you are looking for a stress free experience in an amazing setting, The Caldwell is your place!

Bridal Shower

“Bridal Shower

TripAdvisor Review Report

I live out of State, but originally from Abbeville. I wanted to give my sister a special bridal shower to remember. So I called up the Caldwell and Mrs. Mae was so helpful and pleasant I knew right away this was the place! I basically told her what I was hoping for and she was quick to handle EVERYTHING for me! All I had to do was show up. When I arrived I was welcomed with a wonderful staff. They were friendly and very hospitable. The food was wonderful and atmosphere was perfect!!! I can’t say how many compliments I received and how everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves, Thanks to Mrs Mae & the WONDERFUL staff at the Caldwell house for truly making this a memorable day!

Rehearsal Dinner at The Caldwell

The Caldwell House is Spectacular.

(Trip Advisor Review Report for The Caldwell House)

The house served us well for our Wedding Rehearsal Dinner. Mae took care of all the details and made our event special. Having to make these arrangements long distance (Colorado), I want to assure you Mae is excellent and The Caldwell House is spectacular. Our kids also spent the night in the honeymoon suite. What a beautiful and memorable place.
